Clean birthing kits facilitates a clean delivery which includes deliveries with clean hands, clean delivery surface, clean cord cutting and tying techniques ensuring an optimal cord care.

Pakistan is in top 3 countries in the world for neonatal mortality. 244 newborns die per 1,000 live births.

CBK Objectives
To provide clean birthing kits to midwives to ensure reduction in post-partum haemorrhage and newborn sepsis. This practice will help reduce the maternal and newborn mortality rates.

The damage and destruction toll from more than six weeks of torrential monsoon rains and flash flooding across Pakistan is mounting, with 434 people have lost their lives, 605 are severely injured, 29,067 plus houses are submerged in water, nearly 24,420 livestock have perished while countless displaced families, women and children are living under the open sky.

Pakistan is on its way to become a water deficient country as it already stands at 30th position among the most water-deficient countries of the world. Safe drinking water is one of Pakistan’s most immediate and crucial problems that demands earliest actions to be taken for its resolution.
